The Rail Forum was established in 1993 as an inclusive and non-profit organisation to support, connect, inform and represent rail businesses across the industry. Rail Forum now have a diverse and wide-ranging membership of approximately 400 companies, acting as a national industry body with strong regional connections.
They host frequent events to support the growth of rail professionals and businesses, bringing together key industry players to focus on business support, infrastructure, rolling stock and key flagship events such as their annual general meeting.
In May 2025, the Chartered Institution of Railway Operators and the Rail Forum formed a partnership to support each other’s endeavours and continue to strengthen the industry together.
