If you were previously a member but have left the institution or your membership has lapsed, then we welcome you to re-join or re-activate your membership.

Lapsed membership

If your has membership lapsed and you are not able to access your account via the Member’s Portal please contact the membership team at membership@railwayoperators.co.uk, or call +44 (0)3333 440523 and a member of the team will be able to advise you on the next steps.

Re-joining

If you have previously resigned and wish to re-join, or have been informed by the membership team that you need to re-join, please follow these three steps:

Step 1: complete the application online here

Step 2: pay your membership fees (if your company is a corporate member then this step does not apply)

Step 3: activate your account by completing the registration process, selecting your password and gain access to the portal (you will receive your complete registration link via email)

Re-joining at a higher level of membership

If you previously held a higher level of membership (Associate, Member or Fellow), for a limited time we are accepting applications to re-join at your previous membership level (i.e. you will not need to re-apply via the membership upgrade process).

How to re-join at my old membership level

Step 1: complete the application online here

Step 2: pay the entry level subscription fee (if applicable)

Step 3: activate your account by completing the registration process, selecting your password and gain access to the portal (you will receive your complete registration link via email)

Step 4: provide evidence of your previous membership level by sending us your old membership certificate or correspondence via email to membership@railwayoperators.co.uk

Step 5: pay any outstanding fees applicable to your upgraded level of membership plus the upgrade administration fee of £27.00
