Introducing the Traincrew Management Development Programme (Piloted by CIRO and RDG)

 

CIRO, in partnership with Rail Delivery Group (RDG), is proud to introduce the Traincrew Management Development Programme – a strategic new initiative aimed at strengthening leadership capability among Traincrew Line Managers across the UK rail industry.

Recognising the crucial role that Traincrew Line Managers play in delivering safe, efficient, and reliable rail services, CIRO was commissioned to design and pilot this programme. CIRO brings its industry expertise and deep understanding of operational excellence to the forefront, delivering a high-impact learning experience tailored to today’s complex rail environment.

The programme is built on a foundation of scenario-based learning, providing participants with real-world insights and challenges that reflect the operational pressures of modern rail networks. It is fully aligned with the latest RDG Guidance Notes and the Traincrew Competency Framework, ensuring consistency with national standards and best practice.
