About the Event

The North East Area Council invites members to a presentation on the work of the Great British Railways Transition Team.  The presentation will be delivered by Rufus Boyd, Programme Director, Passenger & Freight Services, GBRTT.

The GBR Transition Team seeks to deliver the most ambitious changes to our railways in a generation, working with the government and across the rail sector.  The GBRTT is looking at changes to support the development of a new industry structure and considering ways in which the current system can be simplified and improved.

Rufus will be sharing with us more detail on the purpose of the GBRTT and the progress made so far. Rufus will also give an overview of passenger and freight initiatives that are under consideration or development.

We look forward to welcoming you at this event, which will give members the opportunity to network while enjoying light refreshments before the talk.  We know that many members welcome the opportunity to meet industry colleagues and we will also adjourn to the ‘York Tap’ after the event for some drinks and a chat.
