About the Event

The North West and Wales Area Council invite you to this interactive talk.

“NOT AGAIN”!  Words often uttered by drivers out on the roads, including motorways, when they find themselves at the back of a long queue which isn’t going anywhere.

The road may be closed due to a bad collision, and the Police Road Collision Investigation Team may be at the scene, assessing the factors which may have contributed to it. This task needs to be completed before any of the vehicles are moved, in order to paint a full picture of what had happened.

Actual speeds, distances and directions can be determined through analysis of the findings, and details of road and weather conditions will be gathered also. Mathematics will often be used to prove these.

Steve Binns has spent many years as a Police Collision investigator and he will present many of the results he has uncovered during his time in the role.

You will be invited to interact with Steve during the evening but calculators and slide rules are definitely not required.

A presentation not to be missed!
