Andy Mellors is currently managing director of Avanti West Coast but in his career on British Rail and then into privatisation he has held various senior engineering and general management positions. He is thus in an almost unique position to give us his personal reflections of the successes and failures of the privatisation era compared to the former nationalised BR.
This is a joint event with IMechE.
Sandwiches and soft drinks available from 17.00, the presentation starts 17.30. Afterwards we intend to gather for convivial refreshment and continue the networking in a local hostelry.
Due to the popularity of this event, it has been relocated to the STEAM Museum, Fire Fly Avenue, Swindon, SN2 2EY. This is a fifteen minute walk from Swindon Station.
