About the Event

The North East Area Council invites members to a presentation on the evolution of signalling over the years. The presentation will be delivered by Phil Graham MBE, a former Network Rail Operations Manager, who is an acknowledged expert on railway signalling, and regularly leads Signalling Rules and Regulation evening classes, as well as Signalling masterclasses.

Phil will explain about the various systems of control of single lines that are used in the British Isles on both main networks and on heritage lines.

The North East Area Council look forward to welcoming you to their event in York, which will give members the opportunity to network while enjoying light refreshments before the talk. Please aim for a prompt arrival, in order to ensure access to George Stephenson House.

 The council members will also adjourn to the ‘York Tap’ after the event for some drinks and a chat, as many members welcome the opportunity to meet industry colleagues.
