About The Event

A fantastic opportunity to hear from Claire Mann on her leadership journey and her first year as the Chief Operating Officer (COO) for TfL.

Claire took up the position of Chief Operating Officer in April 2024. She oversees all of TfL’s modes of transport as well as TfL’s roads and infrastructure, cable car and cycle hire. She is responsible for ensuring TfL’s directly operated and contracted services and operations are planned and managed effectively to provide a safe, efficient, reliable and high-quality service to customers.

Before TfL, Claire was Managing Director at South Western Railway. Claire has over 25 years’ experience in the transport industry with very strong roots in the railways – she began her career at Heathrow Express (HEx), starting out as a Customer Service Assistant before moving on to be one of HEx’s first train drivers. Since then, she has held a range of senior leadership posts including General Manager, Customer Service Director, Projects Director and Operations & Safety Director roles in a number of Train Operating Companies.
