Annual Xmas Quiz – South West & Wales Area

The nights are drawing in which means that it’s time for the annual CIRO Xmas quiz. We’re back at the Queens Tap opposite Swindon station on Tuesday 07th December for a “live” show. The quiz will start about 1700 hrs with the usual format of head-scratching questions not all of which will be railway related as set by the redoubtable Chris Prior & Lawrie Hall. I would suggest we start to congregate from 1630 onwards which gives time for a catch up with everybody. After the quiz is finished approx. 1830-ish Nikki & the team at the Queens Tap will provide one of their legendary buffet’s to round off what will be a somewhat convivial evening with a few laughs along the way.
Teams of 4+ = £20 a team.
We’ll also have a raffle with a few prizes, the obligatory chocolates & bottle of wine plus a couple of literary classics for perusal.
Monies from the raffle & quiz will be donated on CIRO’s behalf to McMillan Cancer.
Put the word around and hopefully we’ll have a good mix of railway disciplines turning up for a sociable evening.
As an aside, please remember to adhere to any local restrictions as requested by the Queens Tap especially when moving around the premises, masks & hand sanitising etc.
