About The Event

Hosted by the CIRO South East Area, join this in person event at TfL Palestra, with guest speaker, Paul Verghese, who will be presenting on Alstom Global Rail Operations – a perspective for GBR

Alstom are well known in the UK as a train builder and maintainer, with trains from its Derby Litchurch Lane works operating across the country. Perhaps less known in the UK is that Alstom is also a global train operator, running businesses worldwide across both heavy and light rail.

Paul will expand on some of these operations, and how these cultural and legislative environments differ, leading to differences in how Alstom organises its operations.

As rail in Britain moves towards a more integrated model with passenger operators moving to become part of GBR, Paul will draw some parallels from Alstom’s global operations for the opportunities for GBR and the wider industry.
