CIRO is delighted to announce the appointment of David Burley MCIRO, Chief Executive Officer of Rail Operations Group, to the Board following this summer’s member elections.
David is a highly respected industry leader with an extensive background in railway operations, service delivery and organisational leadership. As CEO of Rail Operations Group, he has overseen the company’s continued growth and innovation, delivering specialist rolling stock and operational solutions that meet the evolving needs of the UK rail industry.
A long-standing and committed member of CIRO, David brings a deep understanding of the challenges and opportunities within modern railway operations. His appointment supports CIRO’s mission to lead, inspire and accelerate the growth of rail professionals, cultivating collaboration to support the success of rail organisations, now and in the future. With his focus on people, performance and professional development, David will play an important role in helping CIRO realise this vision by strengthening its connections with industry leaders and promoting the value of professional standards across all levels of the sector.
