The North East Area Council invites members to a presentation on the Manchester Recovery Task Force. In January 2020 a cross-industry group was established to look at solving the problems of Manchester’s complex railway network, both in the short term through timetable changes and in the longer term through the development of a package of infrastructure enhancements.
The presentation will be delivered by Richard Harper, Associate Director, Steer Group, who will be talking to us about the formation of the Task Force, how it gathered evidence of issues, developed strategies and plans, how it secured support for proposals including the major timetable change implemented in December 2022, and priorities for the future.
We look forward to welcoming you at this event, which will give members the opportunity to network while enjoying light refreshments before the talk. Please note that you should aim for a prompt arrival, as the reception area at the Academy will not be resourced after 17:30hrs. We know that many members welcome the opportunity to meet industry colleagues and we will also adjourn to the ‘York Tap’ after the event for some drinks and a chat.
