We have released a Special Jubilee edition of the handbook to commemorate 25 years of CIRO.
This edition consists of each chapter printed individually, encased within a box sleeve featuring specially commissioned bright & colourful artwork that tells the story of CIRO’s history.
This edition is limited in number and only available to CIRO members.
Now in its fourth edition, the handbook has been designed to be useful to all levels of railway operators delivering safe and efficient passenger and freight rail systems globally.
The handbook follows the Professional Operators Development (POD) framework to broadly cover the profession and to effectively set learners up for further study.
Please note, the handbook does not cover technical knowledge explicitly as it is assumed that users have, or are acquiring, the necessary technical skills relevant to their organisational responsibilities.
