The Swanage Railway is a heritage railway in the Purbeck area of Dorset with an 11mile line from a junction with the national network at Wareham to Swanage on the UNESCO Jurassic Coast passing the iconic Corfe Castle.
The Swanage Railway operates regular timetabled steam and diesel worked services from March to October with additional services during Christmas and for special events including Spring and Autumn Steam Galas and a highly regarded Diesel Gala held in May.
Swanage Railway carries some 200,000 passengers each year. The Swanage Railway welcomes charter visitors from London and elsewhere utilising the mainline link.
