Following on from our webinar earlier in the year looking at the preparation work going into organising the rail industry for the Commonwealth Games in Birmingham, we will be hearing from Ben Roberts and Julie Dale as they offer us their perspective and reflection on what went well, what could have been improved upon, and what sort of legacy the Games will leave and rail’s part in it.
Ben worked as the Head of Commonwealth Games for West Midlands Trains, and was responsible for coordinating the West Midlands Trains Commonwealth Games Campaign for Birmingham 2022. He is also an experienced project, programme and operations manager with a rail career that spans over 25 years, working in operations and project management roles.
Working for CrossCountry Trains, Julie was the Project Manager for the Commonwealth Games and used her expertise in customer relations and management to help ensure the efficient and smooth running of operations around the event. She has now progressed on to being the Head of Industry Projects Implementation for CrossCountry Trains.
This talk will be held online via Microsoft Teams. You can register for the webinar by clicking the link below. The webinar will start at 17:30, but you may join the waiting lobby before hand.
