About The Event

Guest speaker:
Simon Green, GWR Engineering Director

Simon will be speaking to members about Great Western Railways Fleet Operational Strategy.

Great Western Railway have one of the largest fleets of any train operating company in the UK with a complex mix of electric, bi-mode and diesel trains. The introduction of class 230 battery-electric units on the Greenford line will add to this complexity. Simon will give an overview of GWRs fleet strategy, how this is managed operationally within the business and the part class 230 units will play in this overall strategy.
